Patagonia x Danner x Vibram

Whenever someone asks me what my favorite project of all time is - this lands in the top two. Patagonia doesn’t do footwear anymore, only in the fishing market segment. The goal of this project was to create a crafted in the USA best in class fishing boot built off of their Foot Tractor series.

So Patagonia approached Danner to make and design the boots, who approached us to work with them on the outsole (Vibram). This project is super special because I got the chance to design the product with none other than the founder of Patagonia - Yvon Chounard. To those that don’t know, he is an absolute OG for everything regarding land preservation, outdoors, nature, etc - hence starting Patagonia.

During this process, we even had the opportunity to go to Patagonia’s headquarters in Ventura, CA. And then go field test the boots with Yvon… at his house, which happens to sit on the coast of the Pacific Ocean. It was legendary.
