A story under construction…

Isn’t that what we all are? A constant story being built by our decisions every single day. I thought of the above statement earlier today and it worked perfectly with what I’m currently working on.

I’ve been working on my own clothing for a while now (err ill probably need to do a new tab for it on my website soon…), and I received my first woven labels for it today. So it was really good timing that I thought of ‘a story under construction’ because it was really perfect for me to edit the brand IG page - https://www.instagram.com/devonshire_road/

Maybe I’ve explained this, maybe I haven’t, but I don’t want to sell the label to anyone. I’m making it for me. I love that no one else can own it. I love that its my own.

Devonshire Road is the street I grew up on for most of my childhood. It molded me in a lot of ways, and it’s where my parents still reside. I still owe them everything I currently have today.

Other than that here’s a general update on life: I’m approaching 6 months of working from home. It’s been a wild ride. It’s been exhaustive. It’s been educational. I really can’t place the experience into real words yet.

I’ve been painting a lot. I’ve been getting commissions which has been really great - - even greater cause they’re coming from tik tok of all platforms!
