Last sunday (not yesterday), I decided to turn off all notifications on my phone except for texts. No more IG dms, no more unasked for COVID updates on twitter, no more birthdays on facebook, no more gmail spam emails, no more emails in general.
All of which I look at regularly - lets be honest, every 2 or so hours, or as soon as a notification went off. After a week (yesterday), my phone let me know my screen time was down 24% from the prior. I eliminated a quarter of my entire weeks screen time by simply not having pop ups every 5 minutes?
I share this because it’s self reflective. I thought I’ve been creating in so many different capacities, and maybe I am, but certainly not the most efficiently.
I’m going to get that time down 30 or so % and really capitalize.
