Instead of writing this post, I was going to send my boss (from my painting job) a really upsetting message. I had to work a shift tonight when it has been snowing since about 5pm and they didn’t cancel due to weather. Now, I’m a fairly confident driver in general, and even in snow or rain, etc. But the highways felt like they were covered in banana peels - like the ones in mario kart that fucked you all sorts of sideways.
So when I got home a few minutes ago I was thinking about how I was going to write a note being like: you need to pay more attention to the weather, and care more about your employees, blah blah blah.

At the end of the day it wouldn’t have done anything. It would have ruined her saturday night. I would have been unprofessional. Instead - I thought about how lucky I was to have a second job, and how lucky I am the drive went smoothly and I got home okay.
We all need to think before speaking. It can help change a lot in life - very much like the butterfly effect.

P.S. Today a coworker (from my full time job) sent me a photo from one of those poster ads on the streets of Paris. It featured a product I worked on. That was cool.
