Earlier this year, maybe sometime around April(?), I told myself I wanted to try stand up comedy. I started writing one liners in my notes section of my phone. Nothing too serious or crazy, but were talking maybe 4-5 ideas strung together.

I realized they’re not really jokes but more story oriented - stories that I think are pretty funny.

Maybe that’s where it’ll all go wrong - the fact that I think they’re funny (as I laugh to myself about that statement)

Regardless, Im going to do it on December 16th - it’s a monday night. Theres a club in worcester that does open mic and a friend of mine knows the guy who runs it.

I have about 8-10 minutes, thats it.

Aside: i’m genuinely excited about this. I have no right to go do standup. It’s incredible that we live in a time where we have so much access to anything we want.
