Do people ever think about how when we get pay raises, we always find a way to spend that increase every month and it feels like we spend it on necessities?

It’s like we will never be able to save. Is that due to our environments or is that due to culture or is that due to our lack of self discipline?

I’ve been spending a boat load of money over the past two months and am like: all those expenses were necessary.
